Guishan Island or Steep Island or Turtle Island , also known as Kueishan Island, is an island in the Pacific Ocean currently administered under Toucheng Township, Yilan County.
The island is the top of an andesite stratovolcano which rises from the seafloor. It is the only active volcano in Taiwan, displaying active fumaroles and solfataras.
龜山島，又稱龜山嶼，最早的名字叫菸斗嶼。龜山島為火山島地質。目前仍有溫泉及硫氣孔等火山相關活動，屬於活火山
