The European migrant crisis or European refugee crisis began in 2015, when a rising number of refugees and migrants made the journey to the European Union (EU) to seek asylum, travelling across the Mediterranean Sea or through Southeast Europe. They came from areas such as Western and South Asia, Africa,and the Western Balkans.The phrases "European migrant crisis" and "European refugee crisis" became widely used in April 2015.
歐洲移民危機或歐洲的難民危機始於2015年，指自從2010年年底爆發「阿拉伯之春」後，數量激增的難民或是經濟移民，從中東、非洲和亞洲等地經地中海及巴爾幹半島進入歐盟國家尋求居留而產生的移民潮，其中多數來自敘利亞、阿富汗和厄利垂亞。
