The Catatumbo Lightning is an atmospheric phenomenon in Venezuela. The frequent, powerful flashes of lightning over this relatively small area are considered to be the world's largest single generator of tropospheric ozone. It originates from a mass of storm clouds at a height of more than 5 km, and occurs during 140 to 160 nights a year, 10 hours per day and up to 280 times per hour.

卡塔通博閃電，是一種發生在委內瑞拉的特殊大氣現象。這一地區的閃電，每年中有130至150個晚上都會發生閃電，每個小時更可高達近300次。這一小塊地區也因為這些頻繁強勁的閃電而被認為是世界上最大的對流層臭氧產生地。卡塔通博閃電的最大特徵就是無雷聲伴隨的連續閃電。
