Calligrapher Cheng Hung-Wen (鄭鴻文)
In holding a Cross Strait Touring Exhibition。

From September to December 2011, calligrapher Hung-Wen Cheng became a pioneer in holding a cross strait touring exhibition to celebrate the Xinhai Revolution Centennial year (also known the Chinese bourgeois democratic ). In Wuhan(the uprising city of Xinhai Revolution), he was invited to exhibit Chinese calligraphy regarding quotations of our national father “Sun Yat-Sen”; in Beijing( the Chinese capital)he was invited to exhibit his big “Dragon” work with over hundred other Chinese painters and calligraphers in The National Political Consultative Hall, and in Taipei (the Taiwanese capital), he showed his big “Dragon” work with the calligraphy works of oldmasters from the Xinhai period.
The Chinese calligraphy “Dragon” work (Size: 110cm x 192cm) started from the dragon’s horn of left part, which combined the Chinese characters “Stand” and “Moon”, along a circle to right part to form the word “Dragon” and a dragon’s image. The whole “Dragon” character was written in one stroke, which combined hard and soft force with Chinese Qigong of Tai-Chi. In addition to the Chinese character “Dragon”, he also made a metaphor that the dragon jumped over the moon and flew in the sky, which implies a sacred and auspicious meaning.
Many people were in appreciation with his work. In addition to media reports about his work, he was also invited for a video interview by Art China, the official mainstream medium of art.
Calligrapher Cheng Hung-Wen (鄭鴻文) became ART Director of 2015 Kaohsiung Lantern Festival. 。

Kaohsiung Lantern Festival is an annual event hosted by the Kaohsiung City Government.
Around 7 to 9 million visitors come to Kaohsiung Lantern Festival every year. This year is the first time many artists invited to participate in designing the Lantern Festival except traditional lanterns display and students’ lantern competition.
The Love River of Kaohsiung has made a romantic and beautiful impression on the people and Kaohsiung Lantern Festival has been celebrated for years. This event has become a favorite of bringing family together during the period of Chinese lunar New Year.
Kaohsiung Lantern Festival is usually held over half month celebration at the longest in Taiwan.
