不見前人讚美詩，臺灣萬夏苦甘馳。
山河殖政輪摧毁，歷史遺風暴損危。
水盪浮萍新未定，雲遊浪子舊常思。
深存文化如根在，壯樹新芽滿地姿。

備註：
1.在挖掘數處考古遺址後得知，臺灣在舊石器時代晚期（50,000年前－10,000年前），就已經開始有人類居住，在澎湖水道所發現的澎湖原人之生存時代則距今約45萬至19萬年前。
2.臺灣歷史有明確文獻記載且能考證時間點者，目前可上溯至1582年7月一場因風擱淺於福爾摩沙的船難後分別由兩位西班牙人神父與一位葡萄牙人耶穌會士所寫關於在臺灣75天見聞的三篇文字記錄。
