1.向日葵的花語是信念、光輝、高傲、忠誠、愛慕，向日葵的寓意是沉默的愛。<BR><br />
2.向日葵可用於在植物修復提取土壤有毒成份，如鉛，砷和鈾，並在過濾處理用於中和放射性同位素和來自水中的其他有毒成分和有害細菌。在車諾比核事故之後，它們被用來從附近的一個池塘移除銫-137和鍶-90。類似的方法也被運用於福島第一核電站事故的處理中。<BR><BR><br />
